F   Fine Condition:  handled but likely unread, almost as issued

NF   Near Fine:  has been carefully read, no real flaws to speak of

VG   Very Good (also VG+ & VG-):  the majority of books, all parts intact, noticeable flaws to be identified

G   Good:  significant wear OR with one glaring flaw to an otherwise VG book

A   Acceptable:  poor condition but one might still want this book for some reason (scarcity, edition, artwork, association)

U   Unacceptable: disbound or damaged to the point where the only thing left to do is reclaim any high quality rag paper for papermaking,

      or have the whole book rebound
